The 3 PMP Requirement Sets
As published by PMI. You only need to satisfy one full set to be eligible.
Set A
- High school or secondary school diploma
- 60 months experience leading and managing projects within the past 8 years
- 35 contact hours of PM education/training — or a CAPM® certification, or a PMI PMP® Exam Prep Course
Set B
- Bachelor's degree or higher (or global equivalent)
- 36 months experience leading and managing projects within the past 8 years
- 35 contact hours of PM education/training — or a CAPM® certification, or a PMI PMP® Exam Prep Course
Set C
- Bachelor's degree or higher from a GAC-accredited program
- 24 months experience leading and managing projects within the past 8 years
- 35 contact hours of PM education/training (GAC core PM coursework is pre-approved)
